BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (EPCC) has announced that Michael Hicks has been named to the 2009 All-Conference team.

Hicks, a sophomore from Bangor Area High School, was the Spartans most consistent golfer this season, finishing the 2009 campaign with an 87.1 scoring average.

"Michael is very deserving of this honor," remarked Head Coach Steve Malitzki, "he was the heart and soul of our team and showed a tremendous amount of leadership with the younger players."

A native of Washington, NJ, Hicks helped lead the Spartans to a 6th place finish at the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association state championships in October at Penn National Golf Course.
