BETHLEHEM, Pa. - When you mention the name Coach Carrodo, most people automatically think softball.  However, there is a group of individuals at Northampton that think bowling.

Sam Carrodo, the long-time, successful, softball coach at NCC took on a new role last year as the bowling coach, and success has followed him.

"I did it to help the kids," replied Carrodo, "but I really love it ... I never knew all the nuances and preparation that went with the sport.  I have really come to appreciate the effort and time that these student-athletes put forth."

Carrodo helped guide his team to a first place finish at the LCCC Invitational on November 19th, taking down league powerhouse, Penn College, by 149 pins.

While Carrodo enjoys his new found sport, he doesn't see himself giving up softball, "I am a softball guy," replied Carrodo, "I love the sport and matching wits with the other coaches."
