SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. - Northampton rode 31 points from freshman Josh Vargas to earn an 84-73 victory at PSU-Schuylkill on Thursday night.

Vargas finished 12 of 19 from the field and added 5 steals, while fellow frosh Elliot Gumbs chipped in with 11 points and 4 assists.

Northampton, now 2-3 overall (0-0 Region XIX), open their Region XIX schedule on Saturday when they travel to Toms River, NJ to face Ocean County College at 2:00pm.
