BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC men's basketball team fell to Reading Area Community College, 80-69, in the consolation game of the Elite Coach & Limo Tip-Off Tournament on Sunday night.

Cold shooting (21 of 62) doomed the Spartans, as Reading jumped out to a 42-34 lead and then held on down the stretch as NCC closed the deficit to 5 with five minutes to play.

Dwayne Allgyer was named to the All-Tournament team for Reading, while Brian Smith was an All-Tournament selection for NCC, scoring 19 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out 4 assists.  

Josh Vargas had 10 points and Tyler Rothrock added nine for the Spartans, now 0-3 overall.

Northampton hosts NJCAA Division II Burlington County College on Saturday November 14th  at 3:00pm.
