NEWTOWN, PA - Playing without #2 singles Cody Ruff, the Spartans were still able to rally and defeat Bucks County Community College, 5-2, in an EPCC tennis matchup on Wednesday.
Brandon Wright avenged a loss earlier in the season to Adam D'Alonzo of Bucks, winning 7-5, 7-5 at 1st singles. Bryan Silk defeated Evan Morris 6-4, 6-3 at 3rd singles, while
Megan Groh remained undefeated, defeating Gulnoza Razikova 6-2, 6-4, as did teammate
Ashley Bennett, who won 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles competition,
Matt Sell and Silk rebounded from a 2-7 deficit to take the next five games and win the tie breaker, 7-5.
Northampton improves to 4-1 on the season and will travel to Harrisburg Area Community College to face the Hawks in a conference matchup at 3pm on Thursday.
