BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Spartans dropped their home opener on a blustery afternoon, falling to Harrisburg Area Community College, 4-3.

The Spartans got off to quick start, winning two of three doubles matches as Cody Ruff and Matt Sell won their match 8-6 and Megan Groh and Ashley Bennett easily disposed of their opponent, 8-0.  

In the singles competition, the Spartans could only manage to secure two of the six points.  Groh and Bennett each won their matches, but Harrisburg captured all four of the men's positions.  

The loss drops NCC to 1-1 on the season.  Northampton hosts Delaware County Community College on Saturday at 1pm.
