BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Northampton Community College women's volleyball coach Missy Lynn has released the Spartans 2009 schedule.

NCC, the defending EPCC champions, will open the 2009 campaign on September 9th at Passaic Community College and will then travel to EPCC rival Lehigh-Carbon Community College on September 10th.  Northampton plays their home opener on September 14th, hosting Bucks County Community College.  

The 2009 schedule features five matches against National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) competition as the Spartans transition into the NJCAA and Region XIX and complete their final season of EPCC competition.  

"We are very excited about our 2009 schedule," remarked Head Coach Missy Lynn, "we will get tested early with LCCC, and the additon of the NJCAA matches will make for a very competitive schedule."

The Spartans, who finished 2008 with a 16-2 record, return two players for the 2009 campaign, "we are definitely in a rebuilding mode," echoed Lynn, "but I am confident that our incoming players will be able to step in and contribute immediately."

After completing their EPCC regular season schedule, Northampton will participate in the EPCC tournament scheduled for October 10th, with the champion advancing to the PCAA title match on October 17th.
