WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team got back on the winning track, sweeping an EPCC tri-match at Luzerne County Community College on Saturday.
The Spartans started slowly in match one vs. Delaware County Community College, but rallied to take game one 25-18 and then dominated the Phantoms, 25-7, in game two.
Marissa Burns recorded 17 assists and 10 digs and the Spartans as a team had 5 aces.
In match two vs. Luzerne County Community College, the hosts jumped out and took game one 25-22, but NCC rallied again to take game two 25-14 and game three 15-8 to earn the victory.
Amanda Lynch led NCC with 14 digs and 6 kills, while Marissa Burns added 16 assists and 8 digs.
Northampton, now 3-3 overall and 3-2 in the EPCC, returns to action on September 22nd when they travel to the Community College of Philadelphia for a 7:00pm match.
