BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC women's basketball team opened the second semester on Tuesday night with a 40-23 victory over West Point Prep.  The Spartans jumped out to a 20-11 halftime lead behind a stifling defensive effort that shut down the Black Knight attack.

Channel Jones scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds and Ciara Mbonu added 10 points to pace the Spartans.

Northampton, which improved to 6-8 overall, hosts Atlantic Cape Community College on Friday night at 5:30pm in a Region XIX contest.
