BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Northampton Community College Director of Athletics
Troy Tucker has announced that Head Soccer Coach Erik Daly has resigned from his position, effective immediately.
"Being a part-time coach is a difficult task," replied Tucker, "it is so tough to balance a family, a full-time job and put in countless hours as a college coach with recruiting, travel, practice, etc. I know it was not an easy decision for Erik to make ... he really put his heart and soul into this program."
Daly, who was named the Spartans head coach in the summer of 2008, compiled a record of 30-6-0 during his tenure, including a conference championship in 2008 and a state championship in 2009.
Northampton will start a search for a new coach immediately. "This Fall is our first season as a member of Region XIX in the NJCAA," remarked Tucker, "we need to be ready to hit the ground running."
