POCONO SUMMIT, Pa. - The NCC Bowling Team finished in third place at the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (EPCC) championships hosted at Pocono Summit Lanes on February 17th.
Owen Darby led the Spartans with a 633 series and a high game of 216, as NCC finished 64 pins out of first place.
"It's a little disappointing," commented a visibly dejected Head Coach Sam Carrodo, "we had bowled so well all season, but we just couldn't put it together today. We need to regroup and focus on this weekend and competing for a state championship ... the talent is there."
Lehigh-Carbon Community College (2382) took the championship, followed by Penn College (2328) and the Spartans (2318).
The Spartans, who captured the regular season title, will now travel to State College, PA to compete in the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association (PCAA) state championships this weekend.
