BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Head Coach Jack Master and the NCC Spartan Tennis team will open the 2010 campaign on Wednesday March 24th at the Community College of Philadelphia in an Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (EPCC) match at 3pm.  The match will be played at the Arthur Ashe Center in Philadelphia.

Coach Master will look to Barry Fedon at #1 singles, followed by Bryan Silk at #2 singles and Eric Knauss at #3.  Fedon was a 4-year letter winner at Bethlehem Catholic, Silk posted a 4-2 record last season at #4 singles and Knauss was a member of the two-time Colonial League champion, Southern Lehigh team.

Fedon will team with Knauss in doubles action.

On the women's side Ashley Bennett will play #1, while Adrienne Nenow will play at #2 singles.  Benett and Nenow will team-up in doubles action.  Bennett was 6-1 at #2 singles last season and 8-0 in doubles action, where she captured the PCAA state championship with Megan Groh.  Nenow was a 4-year letter winner at Easton, where she captured a LVACC bronze medal.

"We are really deep on the female side," remarked Master, "the problem is, I'm just sure about the rest of the league ... we will see where we stand after the first couple of weeks."
