PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The NCC Tennis team opened the 2010 season by sweeping the Community College of Philadelphia, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon.

In singles action Brandon Wright defeated Raul Zayas 6-2, 6-1, Barry Fedon defeated Ben Viss 7-6(7-5), 6-4, Bryan Silk defeated Anthony Fillipone 6-1, 6-0, and Eric Knauss defeated Carlos Rodriguez 6-2, 6-4.

On the doubles side Wright and Fedon defeated Rodriguez and Viss, 8-5 while Silk and Knauss took down Zayas and Asamo Wilson 8-1.

The NCC women won by forfeit.

Next up for the Spartans is their home opener on March 29th at 3pm when they host Bucks County Community College.
