BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Northampton Community College Director of Athletics
Troy Tucker has announced the hiring of Mr. Ned Yelovich as the Spartans new men's soccer coach.
"Ned brings a wealth of experience," remarked Tucker, "I felt he was the right person to lead our program as we make the transition this Fall into the NJCAA and Region XIX."
Yelovich, a former standout goalkeeper at East Stroudsburg University, has been involved with soccer for over 30 years as a player, coach and official.
"I am excited to take the reigns of the Northampton program," echoed Yelovich, "it is a tremendous opportunity to compete against the best junior college programs in the country and establish NCC on the junior college soccer map."
Yelovich, who was a goalkeeping coach at Rutgers University, has a combined 279-166-34 record as a head coach, including two league championships as the head coach at Allentown Central Catholic.
Yelovich replaces Erik Daly who stepped down after two seasons, during which he led the Spartans to a 30-6-0 record, including a PCAA state championship in 2009.
