BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC Baseball team has earned the #5 seed for the upcoming Region XIX playoffs and will travel to 4th seeded Bergen this weekend for a best of three series.

The Spartans, 18-18 overall and 9-9 in conference, will be competing in their first playoff series since joining the NJCAA last season.

"The guys are really excited," stated Head Coach Adrian Yaguez, "our goal from day one was to make the playoffs and we have achieved that ... now we want to find out if we are good enough to make the Region final four."

The Spartans and the Bulldogs (10-8 in conference) split their series during the season, with Bergen taking game one 8-6 and NCC taking the nightcap, 11-8, on April 6th in Paramus, NJ.

The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, starting at noon and if needed they will play again on Sunday at noon (1 game) to decided the series.  All playoff games will be 9 innings.
