BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC women's volleyball team, entering their inaugural season of NJCAA competition, will begin practice on Tuesday August 17th at 6:00pm.  

Head Coach Missy Lynn, entering her 5th season on the sidelines for the Spartans, is excited about the move to the NJCAA, "The girls are really looking forward to the challenge and we hope to make an immediate impact in Region XIX."

Lynn, who has a 53-22 record (71%) during her tenure at NCC, returns four student-athletes from last year's team which finished 11-9 overall.

Holli Capricuso, Tanya Spitzel, Karla Diekman and All-Conference performer Amanda Lynch each saw extended playing time last season and will be looked upon to provide leadership to the incoming freshman class.  

The Spatans open the season on September 11th when they travel to nearby Palmer Township to participate in the Lackawanna College Invitational.

All individuals interested in trying out for the volleyball program are reminded that there is a mandatory meeting on Monday night at 6:00pm in the Spartan Center for Fall Sport athletes regarding eligibility, insurance and sportsmanship.
