BETHLEHEM, Pa. - NCC head soccer coach Ned Yelovich has announced his 2010 roster which includes 21 student-athletes from 14 different high school programs.

Faith Christian Academy (Roseto, PA) and Liberty High School (Bethlehem, PA) top the list with four and three student-athletes on the roster, respectively.

"The staff and I are very pleased with the group we have," remarked Yelovich, "we have some work to do on the defensive side of the ball, but I really like how our midfield and forwards have been attacking the goal."

The Spartans return three players from the 2009 squad which captured the PCAA state championship, finishing 14-5-0 under former head coach Erik Daly.  Seth Dempsey (Faith Christian), Kevin McCoy (Bangor) and Patrick Szarzynski (Pleasant Valley) each returns for their sophomore season, looking to leave their mark on NCC soccer as the team enters its first season of NJCAA competition.

Top newcomers for the Spartans include; Stephen Underwood (Faith Christian), Josh Hoff (Liberty), and Zach Wasilick (Liberty).

Sophomores Dempsey and McCoy have been named captains of the 2010 squad.

The Spartans open the 2010 season on August 31st vs. Bergen County College at 3:30pm at home.
