BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC golf team found themselves trailing after 9 holes, but rebounded to earn their 39th consecutive victory in the Annual Golf Team vs. Staff Showdown on Wednesday at Green Pond Country Club.

Rich Eilenberger carded a 76 and Jordan Abel finished with a 78 to pace the golf team, while Mark Henry(Adivising Office) led the staff team with an 85. 

"It was a great event," commented Head Coach Steve Malitzki, "though our numbers were down a little this year, it was really competitive and it is always great to have the players and staff from the college interact."

Eric Ulmer (84) and Mike Jenson (108) also competed for the golf team, while Sue Kubik (Institutional Advancement), Jason Laubach (Finance) and Bill Conner (Central Services) rounded out the staff squad.

The Spartans open their 2010 season on September 1st when they compete in the Lehigh Carbon Community Invitational at Iron Lakes Golf Course.
