ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Freshman Rich Eilenberger fired a 72 to earn medalist honors as the Northampton men's golf team took second place at the Lehigh-Carbon Community College Invitational on Wednesday at Iron Lakes Country Club.
The Spartans shot a 333, which was 15 shots off the pace set by Lehigh-Carbon. Delaware County Community College finished third with a 336, followed by Harrisburg Area Community College (337), Luzerne County Community College (340) and Bucks County Community College (342).
Jordan Abel finished with a 78, Costa Korovesis shot an 86 and
Eric Ulmer added a 97 to round out the top-four scores for Northampton.
"Overall it was good first outing for us," remarked Head Coach
Steve Malitzki, "Richie had a real good round, we had a few mental mistakes here and there, but overall I am very pleased."
The Spartans host the Northampton Invitational on Friday September 3rd at Green Pond Country Club.
