Returning to college in 1983 as a non-traditional student, six years after her daughter graduated from Northampton, Betty Krupka approached NCC tennis coach Jack Master about joining the team.  Not only did Betty join the team, she set the college tennis world on fire, capturing the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association (PCAA) women's doubles championship with Meg Cunningham in 1985 and then winning the PCAA singles title in 1986.

Betty was awarded the Charles H. Groman Award for her dedication and commitment to the athletic program following the 1985-86 season.

After receiving her AA degree in General Education in 1986, Betty served as an assistant tennis coach at Moravian College and captured several medals in the National Senior Games.

A resident of Bethlehem, Betty has four children and nine grandchildren and is still an avid supporter of Spartan athletics.
