Manheim, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) proudly announced the recipients of the 2025 NJCAA Men's Scholar All-American Awards on Tuesday, which included Northampton wrestlers Xavier Arner (Schnecksville, PA/Whitehall) and Luke Velekei (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl).  These outstanding student-athletes on the Scholar All-American team have demonstrated excellence both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting one of the following academic and athletic criteria:

• National placer with a 3.0 GPA or higher
• National qualifier with a 3.25 GPA or higher
• Competed in 15 or more matches with a 3.5 GPA or higher

Arner (149) and Velekei (184) both qualified for the NJCAA National Championships after winning District titles at the Gulf Atlantic District Championship at Lackawanna in February. 

"The NWCA is proud to honor these outstanding individuals who demonstrate excellence on the mat and in the classroom as well," said NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer.
