HARRISBURG, Pa. - The NCC women's volleyball team advanced to the EPCC championship game, but undefeated, and #1 seed, Harrisburg Area Community College, proved too strong, defeating the Spartans 25-12, 25-18, 25-12, to earn the EPCC title.

Northampton advanced to the championship game with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Lehigh-Carbon Community College, defeating the Cougars 22-25, 26-24, 25-10, 25-13.

Sophomores Bethany Chamberlin and Marissa Burns were both named to the EPCC All-Tournament Team.

The Spartans, now 11-8 overall, travel to NJCAA Region XIX member Union County College on October 13th for their final match of the 2009 season.
