Northampton Community College Athletic Hall of Fame
I. PurposeĀ
The purpose of the Northampton Community College Hall of Fame is to recognize those individuals, who, through leadership and character, have made a significant contribution to Northampton Community College Athletics, the Community, and who have continued to demonstrate, in their daily lives, the values imparted through Intercollegiate Athletics.

III. Eligibility-CriteriaĀ
A person will be considered eligible for nomination to the Northampton Community College Hall of Fame if at the time of nomination he/she fulfills one of the following criteria.

Ā Ā *Intercollegiate, Extramural, or Club Athletics
Ā Ā Ā Ā The individual participated in a sponsored sport and demonstrated an unusually high degree of success during any given season at Northampton Community College for at least one or two years, has passed a minimum of twenty-four credits with a GPA of 2.0+, and has Ā Ā Ā Ā been away from the college for at least three years.

Ā Ā - Must have demonstrated an unusually high degree of success during any given season or period of time.
Ā Ā - Must have competed at least three (3) years prior to the date of the award.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
Ā
Ā Ā *Extraordinary Service
Ā Ā Ā Ā The individual has made an outstanding contribution or rendered extraordinary service to Northampton Community College Athletics while as a student at Northampton Community College and has been away from the college for at least three years.Ā The individual may or Ā Ā Ā Ā may not have participated in a sport.

Ā Ā *Significant Contribution
Ā Ā The individual may or may not have participated in Northampton Community Collegeās Athletic program, but has made a significant contribution.Ā This category may include, but is not limited to: coaches, athletic staff, administrators, faculty, community members, and Ā Ā Ā financial supporters.Ā Persons in this category need not be away from Northampton Community College for three years.
IV. Selection Committee
The Selection Committee, in addition to the Athletic Director and one other Athletic Staff member shall be comprised of one male alumni athlete, one female alumni athlete, one administrator or faculty member and any members from past inductees who wish to serve.Ā The Committee shall meet in May of each year with the charge of selecting up to five (5) candidates each school year, with the exception of ten candidates the initial year
. (Note: Effective 2012, the Hall of Fame inductions will be held every other year, beginning in 2014).

V. NominationsĀ
Nominations may be submitted to the Selection Committee at any time by any interested party.Ā However, only those nominations submitted by April 30
th of each school year will be considered for selection for that particular school year.Ā Only those nominations that are submitted on the Northampton Community College Hall of Fame nomination form shall be considered.Ā The form shall be available from the NCC Athletic Department. The selection committee may also nominate candidates for the NCC Athletic Hall of Fame.

VI. Induction CeremonyĀ
Newly elected Hall of Fame inductees shall be officially inducted at a ceremony in the Fall Semester.

VII. AwardsĀ
Each honored inductee shall have a permanent plaque displayed in the Spartan Center Gallery and a plaque shall be presented to each inductee.
