BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team remained perfect on the season, downing Division II Harcum College in straight sets on Wednesday night, 25-8, 25-6, 25-16 at the Bear Den.
The Spartans, who have won 45 of the 47 sets they have played this season, got off to a quick start behind
Anna Domyan (10 kills, 4 aces, 12 digs) and
Barbara Dimon (9 kills, 1 dig, 3 blocks), taking a commanding lead in the first set and then cruising to the 25-8 victory.
Kelly Yagerhofer recorded 8 kills, 4 aces and 4 digs, while setter
Ashley McCauley had 35 assists and 6 digs.
"Another solid road victory," echoed Head Coach
Adrian Yaguez, "the girls are very focused right now ... I thought we were a little sloppy at Lackawanna and Lehigh-Carbon, but we were much sharper tonight."
Bald Eagle Area High School's
Meghan Granite added 8 kills and
Lindsey Kizer 6 digs for NCC.
The nationally-ranked Spartans improve to 15-0 overall and 15-0 in conference play.
Division II Harcum falls to 6-15 overall and 5-7 in conference.
Northampton returns to action on Saturday at the Arthur L. Scott Center when they host Division II foes Lackawanna College and the County College of Morris in a tri-match starting at noon.
