Volleyball Nationally-Ranked for Second Consecutive Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. - The Northampton women's volleyball team once again received votes in the national division III poll, released Wednesday afternoon by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

The Spartans, who are 10-0, face a major test Thursday evening when they travel to Blue Bell, Pa. to face defending Region XIX champion Montgomery County Community College.  Northampton downed MontCo, 3-2, just over a week ago in a thrilling five set match.

"The girls are obviously thrilled about being nationally-ranked," expressed NCC Head Coach Adrian Yaguez, "but the bottom line is that we need to continue winning and tonight will be a tremendous test.  Being nationally-ranked is a great honor for a program, but it is ultimately about what you do in the playoffs that matters ... not the regular season."
