COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. - The December 2013 issue of the NJCAA Review highlights Northampton's "Orange Out" event during the District H Volleyball match on November 2nd at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.

Michael Teague, NJCAA Assistant Media Relations Director, authored an article titled "Beyond X's and O's" that details Northampton's use of marketing and promotions, specifically for their championship volleyball match and Iowa Western's use of Twitter by their athletic teams.

"I appreciate the NJCAA and Mr. Teague looking at other aspects of programs, it's very rewarding to know that others see what we are doing and embrace it," remarked Director of Athletics Troy Tucker, "the Orange Out was a college-wide event that gained momentum throughout the week and culminated with over 700 fans attending the volleyball match, which made for a very special day for the student-athletes involved."
