BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton volleyball continued their 2013 dominance with a sweep of their tri-match with Montgomery County Community College and Lackawanna College Saturday afternoon at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
In the first match of the day, the Spartans downed EPAC rival Montgomery, 25-19, 25-22, 25-15 as
Anna Domyan (Bethlehem Catholic) registered 9 kills and 8 digs while
Emily Koehler (Northampton) added 11 kills.
The loss drops Montgomery to 5-3 overall.
In their second match the Spartans defeated Division II Lackawanna College 25-12, 25-10, 25-9, led by Domyan's 11 kills and
Ashley McCauley's 26 assists and 6 aces.
The Pine Grove connection of
Samantha Bertasavage and
Barbara Dimon each added 7 kills, while libero
Lindsey Kizer had 4 digs.
Lackawanna drops to 4-9 overall with the loss.
Northampton, ranked 9th in the latest NJCAA national poll, improves to 12-0 overall and 9-0 in conference play.
The Spartans travel to Division II Harcum College on Tuesday to face the Bears at Kelly Hall at 6pm.
