5th Ranked Spartans Continue To Dominate

BLUE BELL, Pa. - Montgomery County Community College had one thing going in their favor on Saturday heading into their match with undefeated Northampton ... the Mustangs were the last team to defeat the Spartans in a regular season match ... unfortunately for Montgomery, that was on October 17, 2011.

Northampton made sure there would not be a repeat, downing the Mustangs 25-10, 25-12, 25-9, in the first match of a tri on Saturday at Montgomery. Emily Koehler had 13 kills and 4 digs, Jax Babezki recorded 10 kills, Sawyer Hoyak notched 8 dgs and Anona Bauman registered 25 assists as Northampton won its 20th consecutive match of the season.

The Spartans faced the Community College of Philadelphia in their second match, and came away with a 25-4, 25-5, 25-3 sweep. Babezki had 7 kills, Koehler 6 kills and 5 aces, Heather Kobrzynski had 9 aces and Leah Redline recorded 6 aces as Northampton improved to 21-0.

The Spartans, ranked 5th in the latest NJCAA poll, travel to Newtown, PA on Tuesday to face Bucks County Community College.
