Volleyball Sweeps Tri-Match, Moves to 10-3

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team defeated Lackawanna College and Harcum College on Saturday in a tri-match at the Arthur L.Scott Spartan Center, improving to 10-3 on the season.

In match one, the Spartans topped Lackawanna College 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-14), as Jax Babezki (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks South ) recorded 11 kills and Bridget Lozier (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley ) added 8 kills, while Kalli Walling (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) added 11 digs and Anona Bauman (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) finished with 25 assists, 3 aces and 5 digs.

In their second match vs. undefeated Harcum College, the Spartans prevailed 3-1, winning 25-16, 19-25, 25-12, 25-15, giving the Division II Bears their first loss of the season. Lozier had 15 kills and 5 digs, while Babezki notched 13 kills in the victory. Kalli Walling (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) (11), Hannah Park (Snow Shoe, PA/Bald Eagle ) (13) and Megan Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) (11) combined for 35 digs and Anona Bauman (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) recorded 37 assists.

Northampton, which improved to 10-3 overall, travels to Newtown, PA on Tuesday September 22nd to face the Centurions of Bucks County Community College.
