BLUE BELL, Pa. - Katrina Shelly (Mountville, PA /Hempfield ) continued her outstanding freshman campaign, contributing 16 kills, 2 aces, 1 block and 23 digs, to help lead Northampton to a 3-0 sweep of previously undefeated Montgomery County Community College on Thursday evening at Bach Arena. 

Alysce Molchan (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) had 33 assists and 8 digs and fellow Notre Dame - Green Pond alum Jessica Omick (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) contributed 3 kills and 5 digs as the Spartans won 25-18, 25-11, 25-21.  Kalli Walling (Saylorsburg, PA /Pleasant Valley) had 17 digs and Bridget Lozier (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) was credited with 7 kills for Northampton. 

The win propels 9th ranked Northampton to 10-1 overall and 5-0 in Region XIX. 

Montgomery, the last Region XIX to defeat Northampton in regular season play, (October 17, 2011) falls to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in Region XIX with the loss. 

Northampton will travel to Scranton, PA on Saturday September 17th to compete in a tri-match with Lackawanna and Harcum.  The Falcons and Bears will square off at noon, followed by Harcum vs. Northampton and then Northampton vs. Lackawanna.
