TANNERSVILLE, Pa. - Playing a home game away from "home", the Northampton women's volleyball team hosted Lackawanna College at the Monroe County Campus of NCC on Thursday night, downing the Falcons 3-0 to improve to 14-1 overall.
The Spartans, playing in Pocono Hall on the Tannersville campus for the second time in three years, made short work of the Falcons in front of the Tannersville faithful, winning 25-4, 25-8, 25-9.
"It's always fun to come here and play," commented Head Coach
Adrian Yaguez, "the girls really enjoy playing at this venue and it makes for a great environment."
Katrina Shelly (Mountville, PA /Hempfield ) had 18 kills,
Bridget Lozier (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) recorded 8 kills and
Alysce Molchan (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) registered 33 assists, 6 aces and 7 digs to lead the Spartans.
Kalli Walling (Saylorsburg, PA /Pleasant Valley) took sole possession of the all-time career digs record, registering 9 digs to overtake Jackie Sampson (2004-05) for the top spot.
Northampton, now 14-1 overall, hosts Brookdale Community College on Saturday at noon at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
