BLUE BELL, Pa. - Reigning Region XIX Player of the Year Katrina Shelly (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield ) recorded 8 kills, 2 aces and 1 block as the Northampton women's volleyball team swept Montgomery County Community College on Tuesday night at Bach Arena, in Region XIX action. 

The Spartans took down the Mustangs (who entered the contest with an overall record of 17-1), 25-10, 25-18, 25-12, to record their 77th consecutive Region XIX Division III regular season victory. 

Emily Petrat (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom ) had 8 kills and 2 blocks, Laura Sweger (Elizabethville, PA/Upper Dauphin) registered 7 kills and 3 blocks, Taylor Womack (Effort, PA/Pocono Mt. East ) had 6 kills and 9 digs and Bridget Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) added 17 digs to pace the Spartans. 

Alysce Molchan (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) added 37 assists and Amanda Cooper (Bangor, PA/Faith Christian ) hammered down 6 kills for Northampton. 

The Spartans, who have not lost a regular season Region XIX matchup since October 17, 2011, improve to 21-4 overall and 6-0 in Region XIX. 

Montgomery drops to 17-2 overall and 15-2 in Region XIX. 

The Spartans now wait to find out their seed for the upcoming Region XIX Tournament, which is scheduled to begin on Saturday October 14th. Seedings and matchups are expected to be announced by the volleyball committee on Thursday morning.
