SYRACUSE, NY - The Northampton Volleyball team went 2-0 on the first day of competition at the Cara Bryant Memorial Tournament hosted by Onondaga Community College. 

In their first match, the Spartans downed Jefferson Community College (NY) 25-14, 25-15 in the best of three match.  Alysce Molchan (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) had 22 assists and Samantha Hatfield (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) recorded 10 kills. 

In the second match, Molchan added 21 assists and Emily Petrat (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom ) had 8 kills as Northampton downed Cayuga Community College (NY) 25-12, 25-22. 

Tournament action continues on Saturday at 9:00am when the Spartans face undefeated Onondaga.
