BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Freshman guard
Arnel Lewis (Easton, Pa. /Easton) recorded a triple-double with 20 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds as the Northampton men's basketball team downed Penn State Schuylkill 100-70 on Saturday evening to advance to the Northampton Tip-Off Tournament championship game.
The Spartans shot 48.7% for the game and out-rebounded the Lions 53-30 to win their second consecutive game.
Six Spartans were in double-figures, with
Isiah Hinton-Gray (Allentown, Pa./William Allen ) scoring 18,
Carlos Gutierrez (Allentown, Pa./William Allen ) 13,
David Williams (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom ) 12,
Jay Davis (Northwest, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) 10 and
Bernard Jones (Philadelphia, Pa./Bensalem) 10.
Hinton-Gray, who recorded his second double-double in as many games, led Northampton on the glass with 15 boards, while Williams added 9.
The Spartans will host Cumberland County College in the championship game on Sunday at 5:30pm.
