BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton Women's Volleyball team improved to 5-0 in Region XIX with a tri-match sweep of Harrisburg Area Community College and Middlesex County College on Saturday at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center. 

In their first match of the day the Spartans downed former EPAC foe Harrisburg (7-7 / 4-5); 25-12, 25-14, 25-9. Katrina Shelly (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield ) led the way with 9 kills, 2 service aces and 5 digs, while Alysce Molchan (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) recorded 25 assists and 4 aces.  Bridget Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) added 9 digs and 3 aces for Northampton. 

Facing Middlesex (3-9 / 3-8) in their second match of the day, Northampton was victorious 25-4, 25-8, 25-1.  Laura Sweger (Elizabethville, PA/Upper Dauphin) notched 9 kills, while Molchan added 20 assists and 14 service aces.  Katrina Shelly (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield ) chipped in with 6 kills and 3 aces. 

Northampton, which received votes in the latest NJCAA poll, improved to 15-2 overall.

The Spartans will host DII Harcum College on Tuesday at 7pm in their final home regular season match of the season.
