Spartans Launch Northampton Sports Network on NJCAA TV

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton Athletic Department officially launched the Northampton Sports Network on Saturday afternoon during the men's basketball game vs. Harrisburg Area Community College.  Airing on NJCAA TV, the Northampton Sports Network brings live, and archived, Northampton sports events to Spartan fans on their television, computer or cellular device.

"This is one of the more exciting projects we have engaged in during my time here," remarked Director of Athletics Troy Tucker, "The Northampton Sports Network, gives us an opportunity to broadcast our home events in a high-quality manner for our families, fans and others to view, in addition to providing a home for archived content for people to watch at their convenience.  I want to thank Assistant AD Brennan McCarthy for his leadership on the project, he along with a number of other individuals from the college have put in countless hours to make this project a reality."

What is NJCAA TV?
Launched in the fall of 2009, NJCAA TV begins its 10th year of live streaming coverage of select NJCAA Championships. NJCAA TV has proved to be one of the organization's most successful initiatives and has raised the profile of the organization, its member colleges and most importantly - its student-athletes. Since its inception, NJCAA TV has provided unprecedented access to NJCAA Championships with over 3,000 live and on-demand video broadcasts from the organization's top national championship tournaments.

The 2018-19 sports season marks NJCAA TV's fourth under a partnership with Blue Frame Technology. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, Blue Frame Technologies provides the NJCAA with end-to-end streaming capabilities, including its enhanced technology and proprietary software - Production Truck®.

How can I watch NJCAA TV?
NJCAA TV is available on both your desktop and mobile/tablet devices, as well as through NJCAA TV specific over-the-top (OTT) streaming platforms, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Apple TV. In addition, the NJCAA TV app is available for iOS in the App Store and Android on Google Play. Mobile devices including iPhone, iPad, and Android will work with the default web browser. Devices should be kept up to date and connected to a reliable data connection for optimal playback. Apple users and owners of an AppleTV device can simply 'throw' the webcast from their iPhone or iPad using the AirPlay feature. See How to Use Airplay. Computer users can output their display directly to an HDMI signal if supported, otherwise a converter may be required. These options may require advance setup and we suggest using an 'On Demand' archive to test prior to watching a live event.

Nick Hudak and Griffin Tucker provide the play-by-play and color commentary during the events, providing viewers with in-depth coverage of the Spartans and Region XIX.

Fans can also view live and archived events by going directly to the NORTHAMPTON SPORTS NETWORK on www.nccspartans.com.
