BETHLEHEM, Pa. - 17 of 19 players in uniform scored at least one point as the 6th ranked Northampton men's basketball team routed Lehigh Carbon Community College, 113-57, on Tuesday night at the Spartan Center.
Michael Jackson (West Lawn, PA/Wilson West Lawn) led all scorers with 18, earning Coca-Cola Player of the Game Honors, while
Tony James (Harrisburg, PA/Harrisburg ) finished with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
"Really good all-around effort heading into break," commented Head Coach
Brennan McCarthy, "I thought our defensive pressure throughout the game was really solid and we had the ability to get some different line-ups and rotations in the game tonight, which is always helpful."
Will Slippe (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) had 11 points and 5 rebounds and
Stephon Sheard (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) chipped in with 11 points and a team-high 5 assists.
The Spartans improve to 9-0 overall, 7-0 in Region XIX and 5-0 in the EPAC.
Lehigh Carbon falls to 0-6 overall, 0-6 in Region XIX and 0-5 in conference.
Northampton is now off until December 3rd when they will host the Community College of Philadelphia at 7pm.
