Box Score NEWTOWN, Pa. - The 10th ranked Northampton men's basketball team earned their 5th win of the season with a 90-65 non-conference victory over Bucks County Community College on Thursday evening at the Cipriano Center. 

EPAC Male Athlete of the Week Michael Marable (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna Twp.) led the Spartans with 19 points, while Union Burns (Mt. Pocono, PA/Pocono Mt. West ) added 15, Emmanuel Ozuna (Allentown, PA/William Allen) 14 and Erron Archie (Reading, PA /Muhlenberg) 13, as the Spartans finished 36 of 73 from the floor.  Burns finished 7 of 9 from the field, while Ozuna scored 12 of his 14 points from behind the 3-point line, as Northampton knocked down 6 trifectas in total. 

"Our defense stepped up in the second half," commented Head Coach Brennan McCarthy, "giving up 40 points in the first half is uncharacteristic for us, I thought the guys buckled down and did a much better job defending the 3-ball in the second half."

Marable led the Spartans on the glass, hauling down 14 rebounds, while Kymir Roper (Upper Darby, PA/Upper Darby,) added 10, Burns pulled down 7 boards and Amyr Fox (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East ) dished out 7 assists.

The win moves Northampton to 5-1 overall, while Bucks, a former member of Region 19 and the NJCAA, falls to 3-4. 

The Spartans return to action on Saturday November 20th when they host 4th ranked Montgomery County Community College in the Region 19 Game of the Week at 2pm.
