BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Northampton Community College has made the difficult decision to put their women's soccer program on hold for the Fall 2021 season due to low roster numbers. "This is not something we take lightly," stated Director of Athletics
Troy Tucker, "it was not a decision we wanted to make, but at the same time I wanted to be fair to the young women who had shown an interest in playing and give them the opportunity to participate at another institution if they choose to do so. I did want to wait until late August when I knew the outcome was going to be the same."
Northampton will begin a search for a new head coach who will spend the 2021-22 season recruiting, in preparation for the Fall 2022 season. "I truly believe we can be successful in women's soccer," remarked Tucker, "it just comes down to finding the right coach who can sell the program and the benefits of starting your academic and athletic career at Northampton."
