Box Score EDISON, NJ - The 11th ranked Northampton men's basketball team held off a feisty Middlesex College team on Thursday evening, downing the Colts 84-77 at the PE Center in Edison.
The Spartans jumped out to a comfortable 39-22 halftime advantage, but the Colts got hot from behind the arc in the second half, converting 12 3-pointers in the final 20 minutes, but Northampton was able to hold on down the stretch for the road victory.

Brennan McCarthy, "Middlesex is a tough, physical team and they shot the ball extremely well tonight. This is a solid win for us as we continue to build toward the postseason."
Erron Archie (Reading, PA /Muhlenberg) led Northampton with 18 points, followed by
Tyrese Fuller (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) with 15 and
Zykir Williams (Philadelphia, PA/Boys Latin Charter ) and
Amyr Fox (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East ), each with 11.
Kymir Roper (Upper Darby, PA/Upper Darby,) led the Spartans on the boards with 9 rebounds, while
Michael Marable (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna Twp.) recorded a team-high 8 assists.
Northampton moves to 14-2 overall and 5-1 in Region 19 with the victory.
Middlesex falls to 8-9 overall and 6-8 in Region 19.
The Spartans are on the road again on Saturday, as they head to Blue Bell, PA to face #3 Montgomery County Community College (18-2) in a NJCAA top-15 showdown. Tip-off is scheduled for 12pm, however Spectators are NOT ALLOWED.
