HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team placed three players on the 2022 All-Region Team, led by
Player of the Year Ayana Bomani (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty), as announced by the Region 19 Volleyball Committee.
Bomani, who leads the nation in blocks per set (2.19), has also totaled 154 kills (2.85/per set) and 254 digs (4.7/per set), becomes Northampton's 7th Region 19 Player of the Year.

Joining Bomani on the All-Region team are teammates
Jordan Appleton (Langhorne, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) and
Alexandra Bosco (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley), who both earned 2nd Team honors.
Appleton, who was a 2nd Team selection in 2021 as well, leads the Spartans in kills with 197 (3.46/per set) and has recorded 225 digs (3.95/per set). Bosco leads the Spartans in assists with 282 (8.29/per set) and has 39 service aces (1.15/per set).
The Spartans, the #2 seed in the Region 19 Tournament, will be vying for their 8th Region 19 championship on Saturday when they host 3rd ranked Raritan Valley at noon.
