BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team downed NJCAA Division II Harcum College 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-22) on Tuesday evening, earning their 9th sweep of the season.
The Spartans were led by
Ayana Bomani (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) with 10 kills, 19 digs and 2 blocks, while
Safiya Goodridge (Bridgeport, CT/Pocono Mt. East) added 9 kills and 2 digs.
"I continue to be very pleased with our effort each match," remarked Head Coach
Rachael Caywood, "these ladies have been extremely focused on achieving the goals we set at the start of the season."
Jordan Appleton (Langhorne, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) notched 22 digs,
Theresa Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) had 16 digs and
Alexandra Bosco (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley) recorded 28 assists, 4 service aces, 6 digs, 4 kills and 1 block.
The win moves Northampton to 10-1 overall, while Harcum falls to 3-9.
The Spartans are back in action on Wednesday when they host EPAC rival Montgomery County Community College at 7pm in their "Dig Pink" match to raise money for cancer research.
