PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) has released their players of the week ending November 14th.
Northampton Community College sophomore Mike Marable (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna) (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna) and Harcum College sophomore Amaris Baker (Philadelphia, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) have both earned this week's Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) player of the week honors as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Mike Marable (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna) led his Spartans to a 2-0 week with wins over NJCAA Division II opponent County College of Morris and EPAC rival Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. Marable scored a team high of 22 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and had 2 steals in a spectacular 75-64 win over County College of Morris. Marable followed that up with another team high against Thaddeus Stevens of Technology when he scored 25 points, hauled down 11 rebounds, and recorded 2 steals in a 75-67 win.
Amaris Baker averaged 27 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4.6 steals against #3 CCBC Essex, Community College of Philadelphia, and Northampton Community College. Baker broke Harcum's single game scoring record with 38 points on Thursday, November 10th. Baker is currently averaging 25.8 points per game and has been spectacular with her 55% shooting from the floor. Baker's steady shooting has assisted her team to a 2-1 record with an 88-51 win over Community College of Philadelphia, 92-49 win over Northampton Community College and a tough loss to #3 ranked CCBC Essex 110-59.
