BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton men's soccer team remained undefeated, rallying from a 1-0 deficit, to down PSU-Lehigh Valley 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Spartan Field
Despite dominating possession in the first half, the Spartans still found themselves tied 0-0 at halftime vs. the Lions.

The Spartans started slow in the second stanza, and at the 60 minute mark, a miscommunication in the backfield led to a goal for the Lions, giving them a 1-0 lead.
At the 75 minute mark,
Gabe Lawler (Bangor, PA/Bangor) tied the contest at 1-1, scoring an unassisted goal from outside the box.
The Spartans continued to push and at the 88 minute mark
Derek Filipkowski (Bangor, PA/Bangor )Â sent a cross into the box that
Hatungimana Salem (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) headed into the back of the goal for a 2-1 lead.
The defense held on for the final two minutes to give the Spartans the come from behind victory.Â
Drake Brackett (West Easton, PA/Wilson)Â earned the win between the pipes, recording two saves.Â
The Spatans, now 2-0-0, return to action on Monday when they travel to Middlesex College.Â
