Spartans Open Second Half with Rout of Bergen

Box Score PARAMUS, NJ - The 9th ranked Northampton men's basketball team opened the second half of the season with a convincing 99-64 victory over Bergen Community College on Thursday evening. 

Five Spartans scored in double figures, as Northampton shot 56% from the field, including 42% from distance, in the 35-point victory. 

Titus Wilkins (Easton, PA/Executive Education Academy Charter) led Northampton with 22, followed by CJ Miles (Bangor, PA/Bangor) with 18, Mike Marable (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna) 17, Tyrese Fuller (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) 14 and Keenan Roberts Jr. (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) 12. 

"December 13th seems like an eternity ago," stated Head Coach Brennan McCarthy, "but I was happy with how we came out tonight and competed after the long layoff."

Miles and Marable each had 6 assists, while Wilkins added 7 rebounds. 

The win moves Northampton to 13-2 overall and 9-1 in Region 19. 

Bergen falls to 1-13 overall and 1-12 in the Region. 

The Spartans are back in action on Saturday when they host EPAC rival Thaddeus Stevens College at 2pm.
