Box Score SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. - The 7th ranked Northampton men's basketball team extended their winning streak to 7 games, downing Lehigh Carbon Community College, 86-63, on Thursday evening at the Cougar Den.
The Spartans placed four players in double figures, led by
CJ Miles (Bangor, PA/Bangor) with 22,
Mike Marable (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna) 19,
Tyrese Fuller (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin) 16 and
Titus Wilkins (Easton, PA/Executive Education Academy Charter) with 12.
Northampton had 35 field goals on the night, while limiting the Cougars to just 21 made baskets, in the 23-point victory.
"Always a fun atmosphere when we visit the Cougar Den," remarked Head Coach
Brennan McCarthy, "The crowd here makes it very difficult for the opponents, I was very happy with how we competed and stayed focused on earning a W."
The win, Northampton's 11th straight over Lehigh Carbon, moves the Spartans to 16-2 overall, 12-1 in Region 19 and 9-0 in the EPAC.
The Cougars fall to 1-15 overall, 1-11 in Region 19 and 1-8 in conference play.
Northampton will be back in action on Saturday at the Spartan Center when they host Nassau Community College (NY) at 4pm in a non-conference tilt.
