SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. - The 14th ranked Northampton women's volleyball team closed out a perfect regular season with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-9, 25-14) victory over Lehigh Carbon Community College on Tuesday evening at the Cougar Den.
Ayana Bomani (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) recorded 10 kills, 16 digs and 8 blocks, while freshman phenom
Kailen Felty (Pine Grove, PA/Pine Grove) had 8 kills, 16 digs and 11 blocks for the Spartans.
"I'm really proud of these young ladies," remarked Head Coach
Rachael Caywood, "they have done a great job of meeting all the challenges they have faced this season, now it is time to face the challenge of the postseason."
Leana Angelone (Coopersburg, PA/Faith Christian Academy) added 30 assists for the Spartans, who finish the regular season at 13-0 overall.
Lehigh Carbon falls to 5-10 overall with the loss.
The Spartans will now await the seeding for the upcoming Region 19 tournament, which is scheduled to be released on October 18th.
