HARRISBURG, Pa. - Northampton women's volleyball standout
Ayana Bomani (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) has been named the Region 19 Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. Bomani leads the undefeated Spartans with 153 kills and ranks second on the team in blocks with 99 and digs at 233.
A First Team All-American in 2022, Bomani returned to Bethlehem and helped guide the Spartans to a perfect 15-0 record as they prepare to begin play in the NJCAA National Tournament on Thursday vs. Monroe-Bronx in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Bomani's Player of the Year Award is the 8th for the Northampton Volleyball program.
Joining Bomani on the All-Region Team is freshman
Kailen Felty (Pine Grove, PA/Pine Grove). Felty earned 2nd Team All-Region honors, ranking #1 in the country in blocks per set (1.85), while adding 119 kills and 218 digs.
