"Overall I'm happy with the performance," stated Head Coach
Adrian Yaguez, "to go on the road in this Region and pick up two wins is huge. Atlantic Cape is very solid, they made some terrific defensive plays today. I thought our pitching was fantastic for late February, we obviously have a number of things to work on, but getting on the field today allowed the coaching staff to evaluate a number of things as we prepare to head to Myrtle Beach this coming weekend."
The two wins puts Northampton at 2-0 overall and 2-0 in Region 19.
Atlantic Cape falls to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in Region 19.
The two squads still have a single 9-inning game to make-up, after being postponed on Saturday due to weather.
