TOMS RIVER, NJ - The Northampton men's volleyball dropped their first match of the season on Monday evening, falling to undefeated Ocean County College, 3-0, (13-25, 26-28, 22-25) at the Viking Athletic Center. 

Johnny Martinez (Northampton, PA/Northampton) recorded 10 kills, 3 solo blocks and 4 block assists, Josiah Melendez (Allentown, PA/William Allen) notched 18 assists and 6 digs and Alexander Schoenen (Northampton, PA/Northampton) had 6 kills, 2 service aces and 4 block assists for the Spartans. 

The loss drops Northampton to 4-1 overall, while Ocean improves to 6-0. 

The Spartans are back on the road Wednesday as they travel to Union County College to face the Owls at 6pm.
